UK-Gulf Connect was founded in 2014 by former UK diplomat Chris Innes-Hopkins who has worked widely within the GCC and MENA region since 2001 to promote trade, investment, entrepreneurship and economic development.

As founding CEO of the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC UK) from 2014-24 he helped to position the UK as a trusted partner in Saudi Vision 2030 implementation. He led pioneering UK delegations to Saudi Arabia in renewable energy, smart cities, fintech and cleantech, co-founded the Saudi UK Tech Hub as a platform for knowledge exchange and delivered major investment conferences in partnership with the City of London and the Saudi and UK governments.

While maintaining an excellent business and governmental network within Saudi Arabia, Chris also supports clients with projects and partnership initiatives in other Gulf states, including Oman and the UAE where equally exciting initiatives are underway.
